Color Portraits

What looks easy, often times is very complicated.   The finished work of art looks clean and straight forward, but a lot of work happens behind the scenes.

Here in the my Studio, everything is organic, hands on, hand made, and done in my shop work space.      Even though some things are similar, each order is made specifically for you, so there will always be variables, some large and some small changes that make each one individual.

Creative design can be straight forward, such as sculpting a specific animal.    Most of the breed specific works are collaborative and interactive with the person, association, or group .   Once the sculpture is finished, we make casting molds, and than the castings are available to you.

Finishing details:

• Once the casting in cleaned and ready for color finishing, we do basic breed colors, faux bronze color or Portrait colors from you photo referance
•  Transform a breed specific sculpture into a replica of your favorite animal.  Our custom portriat coloring offers the look of a commission at a fraction of the time and cost.
• We will need detailed photo reference of your animal from all sides if possible especially if it has color changes (spots and dots).    I have used older registration papers or even black and white photos if the subject is older or since past on.
• Multiple painted copies.  We can do repetitive color patterns, but since we are detailing it strictly by hand, each one will still be its own work of art, and variations will be present.   Each one will take the same amount of time and attention to details to complete.
